Vladislavs Nastavševs (1978)
Vladislavs Nastavševs graduated from St. Petersburg Academy of Dramatic Arts with BA in Acting (2004) and London Central St. Martin′s College of Art and Design with BA in Stage Directing (2007). He has adapted and directed Ivan Turgenev′s “Rudin” for the Arcola Theatre (2007 - London, UK), and also directed August Strinberg′s “Miss Julie” for the Cochrane Theatre (2007 - London, UK), which was later revived at Belvoir Theatre Downstairs (2008 - Sydney, Australia). Alongside with stage directing, Nastavševs has also composed music for Elīna Cērpa′s production of “Multene” at New Riga Theatre. In Riga, his first theatre production was "Mitya′s Love" at Dirty Deal Teatro. This spring Vladislavs has staged another small scale performance at Dirty Deal Teatro - "Boys Smell Like Oranges" based on Guy Davenport short story. Both performances were successfully presented to the international audiences during the Latvian Theatre Showcase 2010 and 2011.
